What is the Mount Kilimanjaro?
Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa. It stands at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) high. It is located in Tanzania, near the border with Kenya. What makes Kilimanjaro special is that it is a free-standing mountain, not part of a mountain range. It has snow on top, even though it is near the equator!
Every year, thousands of people travel to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a dream for many hikers and nature lovers.
📍 Where Is Mount Kilimanjaro?
Mount Kilimanjaro is in northern Tanzania, inside Kilimanjaro National Park. The nearest city is Moshi, which is a good place to start your trip. You can also fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), which is just 45 minutes away.
